GenSend Summer

Spend your summer growing as a disciple, living on mission, and serving with a church plant.

GenSend Summer gives college students and young adults the opportunity to spend a summer serving with a church plant in a strategic city. You will grow in your walk with Jesus, learn how to live on mission in everyday life, and get a closer look at church planting.

GenSend Summer

FAQ

GenSend provides housing, a daily meal stipend, and transportation support based on the needs of each city. Students have their own bed, with men and women housed separately. Housing may be on a college campus, in an Airbnb, or in church-provided housing. Transportation varies by location. Some cities use public transportation, and others use rental vehicles driven by approved drivers over 21. Students should plan to leave their personal car at home. Students also receive a preloaded expense card for meals, and most housing locations include access to a kitchen.

Applicants should be a member or regular attendee of a Southern Baptist or CNBC church or be involved in an SBC campus ministry. All applicants must provide a reference from an SBC pastor or ministry leader and must have been baptized by immersion after salvation.

After you apply, your application will be reviewed and sent to the GenSend city or cities where you are being considered. City teams interview candidates before making final decisions. Final placement depends on overall fit, city needs, and available openings. If you are selected, your spot is confirmed once you submit the required program fee.

You will need a current passport that remains valid for at least three months beyond your time on the field. You will also need proof of travel medical insurance.
